Marking his special day with a Canadian party, Robert Pattinson stepped out on his 23rd birthday on Wednesday (May 13) after a long 12 hours of filming inside the studio in Vancouver. Fans endured the rainy weather for a chance to see Robert and he was gracious enough to pose with a few of them before leaving. Despite his last year being a life-changing one for the young heartthrob, Pattinson remained somewhat subdued while celebrating his birthday with castmates and friends.

According to sources on the scene, the “Twilight” heartthrob arrived at the Global Grill and Satay bar – bringing out co-star guests including Kristen Stewart, Ashley Greene and Jamie Bower, among other cast members.

The “New Moon” group arrived around 9pm and left around 1am, with Rob covering his face in the taxi as it sped off to his hotel for the evening.

Along with celebrating his birthday, Pattinson also is coming off of the news that he’ll be joining up with Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz for a new movie called “Unbound Captives”.

Marking actress Madeline Stowe’s directorial debut, she tells, “Robert said yes last fall, before everything broke with Twilight. Hugh said yes a couple of weeks ago.”
