Underwater Fashion Show in Seoul

An incredible underwater fashion show was held in Seoul, South Korea for the grand opening of a new departmen store.

The brave models were presenting in an untraditional way the traditional Korean dress ” hanbok,” created by fashion designer Park Sul-Nyeo.

They also demostrated unique grace and acrobatic skills. The hanbok dresses are known for their very light fabrics and vibrant colors.

Miss Universe 2010 Jimena Navarrete

Jimena Navarrete, Miss Mexico 2010 has been crowned Miss UNIVERSE 2010. The beautiful Mexican is the 59th MISS UNIVERSE at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada that took place on 23 August 2010.

The first runner-up was Miss Jamaica Yendi Phillipps, followed by Miss Australia Jesinta Campbell, the second runner-up. Miss Ukraine Anna Poslavska, and Miss Philippines Venus Raj only occupied the third and fourth places.

Jimena told that she is extremely proud to have won the title. She also added that people back home must be going wild at her win. The 22-year-old Miss Universe is born in Guadalajara Mexico and has been modeling since she was 15. She is Mexico’s second Miss Universe. Lupita Jones of Mexico won the title in 1991. Jimena Navarrete wore a stunning formal red dress, and looked beautiful in a violet bikini.

Apart from the crown, Navarrete won a package of prizes including an undisclosed salary, a luxury New York apartment with living expenses, a one-year scholarship to the New York Film Academy with housing after her reign, plus jewelry, clothes and shoes fit for a beauty champion.

The marketing campaign is going to be huge and no doubt in the style of a Mega-Gaga extravaganza. Lady Gaga’s taste in perfume is rather normal for a young woman of her age than revelatory of her sense of extreme fashion. She is fond of both Ralph by Ralph Lauren and Daisy by Marc Jacbs. Nevertheless, the upcoming fragrance is said to be extremely “unusual,” more in line with what people expect her to be wearing: a custom blend piling up weird, intense notes from different, eclectic fragrances or a Comme des Garçons smelling of red butchered meat like Guerrilla 1 or a medley of strange artificial smells like Odeur 53. Coty is the company to produce the pop singer debut signature scent.

Pop star Britney Spears released her new fragrance Radiance. She looks white-hot in the ad for her newest perfume.

The “Circus” chanteuse is photographed wearing an elegant silver gown with perfect hairstyle of wavy blond locks tumbling down her bare back. The new perfume, called Radiance, is the newest addition to Britney’s super successful line of fragrances which includes Fantasy, Circus Fantasy, and Curious.

She recently tweeted, “Just got the imaging for my new fragrance Radiance and thought I’d share it with all my tweethearts.

The new fragrance is said the include a blend of “wild berries and dewy petals.” It is expected to hit stores in September.

Tadashi Shoji and his spring 2010 collection is the choice of many celebrities for their red carpet events. Amber Riley was first up when she walked the carpet at the 8th Annual TV Land Awards on Saturday. The “Glee” actress and singer was in an emerald green silk chiffon pleated one shoulder dress with frayed chiffon strap. Her formal dress was paired with gold strappy sandals.

Meghan Linsey also chose Tadashi Shoji to dress her for the 2010 Academy of Country Music Awards. The singer looked beautiful in a nude silk chiffon strapless gown with a pleated bodice. The ruffled skirt and the cute black satin ribbon tied to her waist look fabulous.

Miranda Lambert accepted her ‘Album of the Year Award’ at the 2010 Academy of Country Music Awards also wearing a Tadashi Shoji gown. The blonde beauty looked like a Grecian goddess in a cream silk chiffon one shoulder draped bodice gown from the Spring 2010 collection.

In his collection he included exclusive formal gowns.The fluted, attenuated lines of his long dresses suggested a calm and simplicity. Instead of aggression, they transmitted the grace of the medieval Madonnas and Byzantine empresses McQueen had been studying. The great designer goes back to the handcraft he loved, and the things that are being lost in the making of fashion. He was looking at the art of the Dark Ages, but finding light and beauty in it. The 16 outfits shown had been 80 percent finished at the time of his death.

Oscars 2010 Fashion

Here are some of the red carpet fashion attire at the Oscars 2010.

Jake Gyllenhaal plays supportive sibling for his nominated sister Maggie, but his dapper red carpet look — a well-fitting classic Burberry suit — actually outshines her style. We love color on the red carpet, but the fit of her Dries Van Noten gown was all wrong.

Carey Mulligan looked adorable and modern in a beautiful Prada dress with strangely dangling scissors, forks, and spoons and asymmetrical hem.

Maggie Gyllenhaal dressed in a fresh blue print Dries Van Notten column that is not the best red carpet choice to our opinion.

Zoe Saldana made an appearance in a hyacinth-colored dress, simply sparkling at the bodice but ending in abundance of purple frills.

Charlize Theron wore a Dior light purple gown. The two-toned pink gown included two rosettes directly on her bust. It is definitely a bit more than a good taste could take. Unfortunately it is the only thing that you could really look at, it didn’t matter what the rest of the dress looked like.
